If you were paying close attention to last year’s best of lists, then chances are you saw Julia Holter’s fifth album, Aviary, lurking near the top of most. The expansive, 90-minute long project saw the avant-pop prodigy making some of her weirdest, most original music to date, packing in everything from dream pop to experimental to straight-up guitar rock.
After landing a spot on the bill of London’s excellent Field Day festival, Holter has now added 2 warm up shows at Brighton’s Old Market on June 3rd and Birmingham’s Glee Club on June 4th. As imaginative and unique on stage as she is in the studio, catching Julia Holter live is the sort of opportunity you should never pass up.
