Get tickets: New York’s Parquet Courts announce UK tour dates

New York indie rockers Parquet Courts (aka Parkay Quarts) have announced UK tour dates to include a return to Birmingham with a performance at the O2 Institute on August 31st, courtesy of local promoters This Is Tmrw.

Having released 5 studio albums and 2 E.Ps within a short space of time since their inception in 2010, the Brooklyn based quartet will take to the road later in the year following the release of their 2016 Rough Trade recording, Human Condition. The album has previously been described as ”a testament to rock’s continued power and relevance” with it’s artwork and liner notes receiving a Grammy nomination for ‘Best Recording Package’. Embracing a sound that is part melodically vulnerable, part ardently sardonic, Parquet Courts are a must for any fans of stripped back no nonsense indie rock echoing the influence of the better part of the alternative nineties.

Parquet Courts will play the following dates:

August

28 – Glasgow, The Art School
29 – Newcastle Upon Tyne, Wylam Brewery
30 – Sheffield, The Leadmill
31 – Birmingham, O2 Institute

Tickets are on sale now and are available via Ticketmaster.
