Acclaimed post-punk rockers Shame to tour the UK this November
Acclaimed South London band Shame will play at the O2 Institute, Birmingham, on Wednesday, 28th November, alongside support from Sorry and Fontaines D.C.

For the uninitiated, Shame were dubbed Britain’s most exciting new band by the Guardian following the release of their critically acclaimed debut album, the riotous and decidedly irreligious Songs of Praise earlier this year. Shame are five fresh faced lads, barely out of their teens, roaring from South London towards a success achieved entirely on their own terms, sidestepping artfully the tropes of rock stardom.
A jet engine cacophony of menacing post punk noise riven with anthemic choruses and a devilish lyrical snottiness screams across songs such as ‘The Lick’, ‘Tasteless’ and the self effacing stomper ‘One Rizla’. Shame were forged in the fire pit scene that spewed out Fat White Family and shaped by a lifetime plugged into The Fall. Ferocious, chaotic and possessed of a sharp contemporary resonance, Shame’s live shows are unforgettable. Brace yourselves.
