Premiere: Listen to previously unreleased Victories at Sea track, ‘HALO’

Celebrating six months since the release of their debut album, Birmingham based indie/electronic shoegazers Victories at Sea share a brutal sounding bonus track from the Everything Forever sessions.

We were going to sum the track up – but the band’s frontman John-Paul White has done this perfectly:

“If Everything Forever was a planned birth born from love, then this is our bastard conceived in lust by drunken fools in a cheap hotel bedroom, spontaneous, a guilty memory. ‘HALO’ never made the album because it bullied the other songs like that guy in school who kicked you in the teeth every lunchtime, you hate him, the blood, but this is a song about letting go, not fitting in, the joy of life… to that guy, this is our glorious illicit angel in fields of fire and 22 tracks of guitar.”

Listen to the track below:

Victories at Sea play the following dates:

3 June – Lunar Festival, Tanworth-In-Arden

22 July – Hare & Hounds, Birmingham w/ Moon Duo
