We’ve been fans of The Good Water for a long time. Ahead of their debut headline show at The Sunflower Lounge on 22nd December, they’re our Band of the Week!
The Good Water are a trio from Redditch who, like most bands from neighbouring second city dwellings, have made a name for themselves in Birmingham. Championed by none other than Steve Lamacq and Mary Anne Hobbs (BBC 6 Music), The Good Water channel northern soul melodies, 60s-inspired pop melodies and fuzzy retro rock on their latest single ‘Tell Me What To Do’, which is about “confusion, the misunderstanding of feelings, and the inevitable heartache that follows,” according to frontman Rob Clements.
Having recently embarked on a sold-out tour of the UK and Ireland with Canadian band The Sheepdogs, The Good Water are now set to play their debut headline show at The Sunflower Lounge in Birmingham on Saturday 22nd December. Catch them in small venues while you still can.
