The Specials announce new album and 2019 tour dates
Legendary two-tone outfit The Specials have announced a new album and tour to celebrate their 40th anniversary.
Remaining members Terry Hall, Horace Panter and Lynval Golding have unveiled the brand new album Encore is to be released on February 1, 2019. As well as these core members, the record also features tour line-up regular guitarist Steve Craddock of Ocean Colour Scene and drummer Kenrick Rowe.

40 years since their seminal debut album which featured ska classics such as ‘A Message to You Rudy’ and ‘Ghost Town’ the new record Encore will feature one disc which not only features new material and covers of ska classic ‘Blam Blam Fever’ and The Equals ‘Black Skinned Blue-Eyed Boys’ – but also a second disc The Best of The Specials Live.
The extensive 24-date UK tour kicks off on Monday April 15th at O2 Academy, Bournemouth, stopping at O2 Academy, Birmingham on Friday April 26th and culminating at O2 Academy, Brixton on Thursday May 16th.
