touring Swedish duo First Aid Kit to play Birmingham on their next UK Tour June 13, 2018 Sophia Lega Swedish folk duo First Aid Kit have announced their UK tour starting later this year. Their newest album Ruins, released in January of this year, adds a more refined dimension to the sister’s work, with more of their heavenly harmonies and folk style. This song was a long way away from their traditional sound and was instead filled with rage and emotion, inspired by sexual assault and the injustice of the judicial system. Supporting the Swedish sisters comes from fellow sisters and folk rock band, The Staves, who have toured with Ben Howard, Bon Iver and made an appearance on Later…with Jools Holland. If talented siblings and music from across the globe all packed into one night sounds ideal then tickets are available here for their show in Birmingham at the O2 Academy on November 7th.
