The Hare & Hounds is sure to be bustling with anticipation on the night of October 11th. Ross From Friends is known for putting on excellent shows that exhibit his unique mix of urban and playful sounds that really get a crowd going. For those new to Ross From Friends, expect the dense ambient atmosphere of Boards of Canada mixed with the catchy synths and samples of Bicep, and then add a totally unique playful flair to bring those two worlds together. Family Portrait serves as a convenient starting place for anyone unfamiliar. Ross is also known for bringing live musicians on stage to help add an exciting and organic feel to his mix too, see the video below for a prime example.
Having only released his first EP in 2015, his fanbase has rapidly grown and shows no sign of stopping. The breakout success of Family Portrait has placed him neatly within the sights of UK house and techno fans hungry for fresh, homegrown beats. But the reach of his music seems to know no bounds, as he has shows lined up all over Europe and even in New York, Los Angeles, and Montreal before the year is over. It’s not even October and this is already shaping up to be a huge step for the UK music scene, and one giant leap for Ross From Friends.
