When it comes to DJing legends, they don’t come much bigger or better than Norman Cook, aka Fatboy Slim. From bassist in The Housemartins to tearing up dance-floors all over the world, via early noughties pier-to-pier road blocking, Big Beat Brighton beach parties, Fatboy Slim has been a master of the decks and a dance music tour de force for the last three decades.
Since his debut 1996 album Better Living Through Chemistry, Cook has released a further three albums, remixed for the likes of The Beastie Boys, Cornershop and A Tribe Called Quest and released music via various collaborations (Freakpower, The Mighty Dub Katz and Brighton Port Authority to name but a few).
With the likes of single releases, ‘Rockefeller Skank’, ‘Right Here, Right Now’, ‘Praise You’ and most recently 2017’s ‘Eat Sleep Rave Repeat’ and ‘Where You Iz’ achieving giant commercial success, a UK arena tour is a truly salivating prospect. Add to this the fact that he will be performing in the round, right amongst the crowd: “I’ll be slap bang in the middle of the dance floor” says Cook. If you haven’t got your tickets already, then what are you waiting for!?
He brings the party to Arena Birmingham in February, and you can find full details of the UK tour below. Tickets are on sale now and can be purchased here.
