Best Coast are hitting the road this coming May, stopping off at Birmingham for the first time in over five years.

The band, made up of singer/guitarist Bethany Cosentino and guitarist Bobb Bruno, will play Birmingham’s O2 Institute 2 on Wednesday, 20th May. Tickets are on sale now.

Back after a five-year break, Best Coast will be airing tunes from latest record Always Tomorrow. Combining their usual brand of buffed power pop with more adventurous overtones, the band’s fourth album has definitely been worth the wait. No doubt that the twosome will air some of their most cherished tracks, too, including the hazy ‘Boyfriend’, reverb-drenched ‘Crazy For You’ and the sun-tinged ‘The Only Place’.

Of the new album, Cosentino said: “Always Tomorrow is the story of where I was and where I am now, as well as the struggles I am still learning to identify and figure out. Some days I wake up and I feel like I’m on top of the world and I forget about everything that’s ever bummed me out, and other days, it all comes flooding back. This album is about leaving the darkness for the light, but still understanding that nothing is ever going to be perfect.”
