Alabama 3 to play Birmingham on March UK tour
The band formerly known as The First Presleyterian Church of Elvis the Divine (UK) bring their refined chemical country sound to Birmingham on March 15th. The band many people assume must be American are actually from Brixton and were formed in 1996 by Larry Love and The Very Reverend Dr. D. Wayne Love (Rob and Jake to their mother’s). Twelve studio albums later and the eclectically laconic folk rock upstarts have lost none of their musical potency.

Alabama 3’s discography is so much more than studio albums though, they have made something of a forte providing music for TV, films and even games, producing possibly the most iconic opening theme to any TV show ever in Woke Up This Morning from The Sopranos. The band have been busy for two decades showing no signs of slowing down and why should they when the quality of their music remains so high. They still ain’t gone to Goa though.
