Handmade Festival returns this month: Full lineup and ticket information
Leicester’s leading independent metropolitan music festival returns this April bank holiday weekend, with headliners including Twin Atlantic and Frightened Rabbit. An additional day has also just been announced featuring HTMLD and Grace Petrie
Now in its fifth year, Handmade Festival has well and truly put Leicester back on the arts map, with an eclectic schedule of music, comedy and film that continues to grow year-on-year.
Curated by a collective of local promoters and musicians, Handmade is held over the bank holiday weekend of Friday 27th – 29th April and 2017’s edition is its strongest yet. This year’s line-up features a strong duo of Scottish main stage headliners in Twin Atlantic and Frightened Rabbit, while the likes of Cabbage, Kagoule, Jaws and Superfood also headline its other stages.
Continuing the impressive bill, British Sea Power, Pulled Apart By Horses, Muncie Girls, Honeyblood, Tigercub, God Damn, Life, Get Inuit, Goat Girl, Charlotte Carpenter, Youth Man, Peaness and Happyness are also set to feature across Saturday & Sunday.
The line-up is further enhanced by the addition of a further night, where HMLTD, Grace Petrie, Her Name is Calla, Eyre Llew, Fangclub and Pleasure House are amongst the names set to play on Friday.
Speaking about the festival, Handmade co-organiser John Helps said: “It feels so good to finally get this announcement out in to the world. Handmade has grown every year since we started it in 2013, but this feels like our biggest step to date as we move in to the main room of O2 Academy Leicester, as well as the many other spaces around the Academy and Attenborough Arts Centre. We could not be more excited about the line-up.”
Both weekend and day tickets are on sale now.
