Dublin’s most exciting new band are coming to Birmingham

They’ve been championed by everyone from NME to Clash Magazine and are about to embark on a sold-out tour of the UK with The Amazons – but first – they’re coming to Birmingham!

OTHERKIN are a new band from Dublin who draw influences from colossal rock giants like Queens of the Stone Age, The Clash, Ramones and Blur. Pretty big boots to follow, right? Judging by their early footsteps, that may not be too difficult for this Irish quartet.

‘Ay Ay’ [below] is a raucous number, channeling elements of both grunge and pop. Think Blood Red Shoes, Vant and The Vines.

Following appearances on the Irish festival circuit (Longitude, Electric Picnic) plus Reading & Leeds and a scattering of mainland European festivals too, Otherkin are ready to explode. Expect chaos on March 9th.

Otherkin are set to play the latest Counteract Presents night on March 9th at The Flapper in Birmingham City Centre. Tickets on sale now and available here!
