Liverpool festival Sound City announces jam-packed 2018 lineup

Kickstarting the 2018 festival season, Sound City returns to the heart of Liverpool between May 5th-6th, bringing a lineup that celebrates the newest and brightest in music. With over 250 acts in the weekend lineup the gigs will be varied and intimate, making it the perfect way to kick off a wild festival season.

On top of the lineup this year is Australian indie DMA’s and Birmingham’s own Peace. The Slow Readers Club and Idles support the Saturday lineup, with Sunset Sons and The Night Cafe adding to Sundays sound.

While the headliners are smashing, we are perhaps most excited for those a little further down the bill. Birmingham’s JAWS will be playing Saturday, a chance to see one of our hometown favourites smash a festival stage. New favourites Dermot Kennedy and art pop Superorganism have also been added to the Sunday bill. These bands will no doubt amaze, so it’s great to see them added to the growing list of acts.

Sound City has a fantastic lineup – the rest of which you can see here –  which is no surprise since it’s set in the midst of a musically-oriented city. With the insane bill punctuated by some fan favourites, it’s the perfect way to start out festival season.

Tickets are on sale now and available here.
