Nusa Says No to Spurs!?
Nusa has recently been strongly associated with a potential transfer to Tottenham, with the North London team initially leading the race to secure the services of the Norwegian international. However, it looks like Spurs might have lost the opportunity to sign the 18-year-old. Brentford has made significant progress, surpassing their London counterparts in pursuing the young winger. Should a deal materialise for Nusa, the player will continue to represent Club Brugge until the conclusion of the current season as a loan deal has also been agreed. If this goes through, it’s a massive coupe for the Bees.
Notably, the Norwegian winger boasts an impressive statistic of five successful dribbles per 90, making him the top performer in this category in the Belgian Jupiler Pro League for the 2023/24 campaign.
Playing time is one major factor that played a part in the young Norweigan’s decision to potentially join the Bees, as he would get more opportunities to start for Brentford. Tottenham have strengthened their attacking options this window by bringing in Timo Werner on loan. Nusa would have to compete with Heung Min Son, Dejan Kulusevski, and Richarlison for a starting place.
It is a wise decision for the youngster to go to Brentford. The club is known for developing and improving players and putting faith in prospects instead of relying on big-name players. With Ivan Toney potentially moving on either this window or the summer, Nusa will get plenty of opportunities to shine. One for the future, for sure!
