New series of gigs set to take over Selly Oak’s Bristol Pear
Birmingham Promoters have teamed up with the University of Birmingham Live Music Society and New Street Records to present a special series of shows at the Bristol Pear in Selly Oak.
The shows aim to bring together student acts with some of the best regional and national artists across a broad range of genres. Following the live music will be exclusive DJ sets so everyone can dance on to the early hours!
The shows will take place under the B2wenty9ine (B29) banner to celebrate the thriving music scene within this postcode. They will feature amazing drinks offers with £3.50 cocktails, craft beers and craft ciders, which ties in well with the B29 ethos of making quality affordable. Furthermore, students will be able to buy tickets on the door at a discounted price.
Harry Young, from Birmingham Promoters, said: “We are really excited to expose students to some of the best artists Birmingham has to offer that they may not have seen before. At the same time, we want to expose student bands to a wider audience, aid their development, and help them firmly establish themselves within the wider Birmingham scene.”
