Lush Birmingham to host charity music event in Moseley this November

In their first foray into live music, Lush Birmingham proudly present Singing for Supper, a gig in aid of Coventry Peace House. It’s all going down on the 24th November at the Castle & Falcon in Moseley.

Kicking off the night is the chalet lines – a solo act from Joe Parker (formerly of Enquiry). For fans of Pinegrove and Death Cab For Cutie, his lo-fi emo pop is melodic and heartfelt.

Clocking up airtime with Brum Radio’s Tom Clabon and BBC WM Introducing, Alfresco Love Sounds will be there to inject some sunshine into the evening with their upbeat psych-pop jams. Their new track ‘Lemonade’ is a must listen.

Plucked from a support slot for Yassassin and the Hungry Ghosts, hot young things Sofa King are new on the scene and making a name for themselves already. Mixing jangly guitars and growly synths, they’re fronted by the enigmatic Dianne Burdon and are sure to give a performance to remember.

Topping the bill are Tamworth alt-rock two-piece, You Dirty Blue. Fresh from supporting Wolf Alice at The Venue in Derby, this is a chance to hear them in an intimate setting, as they won’t be in small venues much longer.

About Coventry Peace House

Coventry Peace House proudly continues Coventry’s tradition as a city of peace and reconciliation, which goes back to its bombing in 1940. Working with Coventry Asylum and Refugee Action Group, the CPH provides shelter for both refugees and homeless people. The six yellow houses also act as a hub for a non-profit bike workshop, a community space, and the Peace House Education Trust, which tackles inequality by providing art workshops to hard to reach groups.

How to get tickets

Along with the ticket price (£5.50 advance, available via Skiddle) Lush Birmingham are asking guests to bring donations of the following items for Coventry Peace House: sugar, breakfast cereal, rice, jam, toothbrushes, toothpaste, cooking oil, instant coffee, toilet roll and washing powder.
