June Games Releases: A massive Month With One Huge DLC Dropping

May has almost gone and June is about to arrive and it is finally the start of British summertime. As usual, we will probably only get about a week’s worth of sunshine due to the weather in our country being about as reliable as Homer Simpson working as a safety inspector. With that in mind what better way to pass the time is there than playing some lovely video games while the torrential summer rain keeps us all indoors?

As usual, Counteract has you covered with all of June’s releases. There are a few gems on the way but of course, there is one huge piece of DLC set to release and its related to 2022’s game of the year. I’m sure you can guess what game I am hinting at, but you will have to read below to find out more. That’s how the game works right … Sorry.

Picks Of The Bunch

Firstly Bungiee’s latest outing for the Destiny series is set to drop at the start of the month. Destiny 2 has kept an impressive current player base over the years and the game has been out a fair while now. It is 100% one of the best live service games on the market and the sharp gunplay, exciting raids and heart-stopping multiplayer deathmatches make this a top pick for fans of the FPS genre.

JRPG fans are also in for a treat next month as Shin Megami Tensei Vengeance is set to drop on the 21st of June. Many of you will know his work from the Persona series, and this is sure to be another challenging turn-based strategy adventure with plenty of huge story beats along the way. This one may well take over 100 hours to finish so strap yourself in and get ready to feel the G’s.

Rise Tarnished

This is the one we have all been waiting for, Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree is finally set to release a the end of the month and after over a two-year wait, I have no doubt it will be incredible. This is possibly the most anticipated release of 2024 and I can’t wait to see the horrors the team at Fromsoftware have in store for us Elden Lords.

June is set to be an exciting month for gaming it seems.
