Behemoth’s frontman, Adam ‘Nergal’ Darski, was diagnosed with leukaemia in 2010: a gigantic blow that shook the entire metal community. But, rising to the challenge, he underwent a bone marrow transplant and made an incredible recovery over the course of 2011 and 2012. Despite all this, recording for the eleventh Behemoth album began in early 2013. Against all odds, and imbued with Nergal’s hardships and stubborn resilience, these recordings would go on to become 2014’s The Satanist: the most acclaimed Behemoth album to date.

And now only four years later, I Loved You at Your Darkest has been released as the latest cataclysmic assault in the Behemoth arsenal. Hungry, and more blasphemous than ever, Poland’s finest metal band are back to prove that the saying is true: “That which does not kill us makes us stronger.” Expect a live show like no other, packed with intense performance and theatrics not for the faint of heart. Be sure to catch them at the O2 Institute in Birmingham on February 7th.

Supporting Behemoth on their European outings will be Swedish melodic death metal pioneers At The Gates, as well as American black metal giants Wolves in the Throne Room. Like Behemoth, At The Gates released their latest album To Drink from the Night Itself very recently, so you can expect a barrage of new blood mixed in with the old. Wolves in the Throne room released their latest effort back in September of 2017 and have been touring nearly constantly ever since.
