Bradley Simpson: The Voice of The Vamps:
Bradley Will Simpson, born on July 28, 1995, in Sutton Coldfield, England, is the charismatic lead singer and guitarist of the pop-rock sensation, The Vamps. Formed after Simpson met James McVey on YouTube, the band quickly became a household name with their cover songs leading to a record deal in 2012. Their debut single “Can We Dance” set the stage for their success, peaking at number two in the UK. The Vamps’ albums like “Meet the Vamps” and “Wake Up” captured hearts worldwide, with “Night & Day” clinching the top spot on the UK charts. Bradley’s dynamic stage presence and songwriting have been pivotal in their journey, including headlining at London’s O2 Arena for five consecutive years.
Start of Solo Career:
  • First Steps: Simpson’s solo career began to take shape when he started writing songs that felt too personal for the band’s collective sound. Around 2022, he began this new phase, which was sparked by songwriting sessions in Los Angeles with notable collaborators.
  • Debut Single: His first solo single, “Cry At The Moon,” was released in March 2024, marking his official entry into solo music. This track was described as a poignant exploration of infatuation and vulnerability, with a sound that merges contemporary pop with indie-rock sensibilities.
Solo Projects and Performances:
  • Solo Album: Simpson announced his debut solo album titled “The Panic Years,” set for release on February 28, 2025. The album delves into personal experiences, reflecting on his journey over the past decade, and is characterized by a mix of indie-rock, Americana, ’80s synth, and psychedelia, maintaining a pop edge.
  • Singles and Tracks: Before the album’s release, he released several singles to build anticipation, including “Picasso,” “Daisies,” “Always Like This,” and “Holy Grail.” Each track showcases different facets of his musical style, from the rock-influenced “Cry At The Moon” to the more intimate “Holy Grail.”
  • Live Performances: Simpson has embraced the intimacy of solo performances, moving from arena spectacles with The Vamps to smaller, more personal venues. His first solo show was at London’s 100 Club, stripping back to basics and connecting with fans on a different level. He has since performed sold-out shows in cities like London, Birmingham, Berlin, Paris, Amsterdam, Los Angeles, and New York, with a tour planned for 2025.
