Huge Molasses Tank Explodes Release Single ‘Distant Glows’

Huge Molasses Tank Explodes are set to release their latest album, III, on 6th September via TIDAL WAVE RECORDS. The band has just unveiled the single Distant Glows, a track that starts with a mellow, psychedelic pop vibe, featuring mellotron and Farfisa layers, before transitioning into a space-rock journey with fuzzed-out guitars and trippy synths. The melancholic yet vibrant soundscape perfectly complements the themes of isolation and distance explored in the song.

Distant Glows follows the release of previous singles Bow of Gold and Indeterminate, which combine elements of krautrock, psych-fuzz, motorik rhythms, and spacey textures, showcasing the band’s signature style.

Formed in Milan, Huge Molasses Tank Explodes includes Fabrizio De Felice (vocals, guitar, synth), Giacomo Tota (guitar), Luca Umidi (bass), and Gabriele Arnolfo (drums, now replaced by Michele Schiavina). The band blends post-punk, psych-wave, and electronic influences to create a hypnotic, kaleidoscopic sound, and III continues this journey with eight ethereal tracks.

  2. Bow of Gold
