Filmed in a historic 18th-century mansion that later served as a mental asylum, George’s version of ‘Flamboyant’ is set against a backdrop that starkly contrasts with the vibrant, high-energy aesthetic of Dorian Electra’s original video. George was inspired by the juxtaposition of old, crumbling architecture and his own flamboyant, edgy performance. The video strips back the glitz and glamour, instead embracing grungy, raw elements that highlight the contrast between what society perceives as “normal” and George’s own vibrant expression.
“The location itself tells a story of contrasts,” George explains. “What was once an opulent mansion, and then a place of confinement, now serves as a canvas for
flamboyance and individuality. I wanted to light up this derelict space and bring it to life in a way that only I could.”
