Dhani Harrison’s INNERSOUNDSTAGE Film Set for Release on 27th September

Dhani Harrison is set to release his new live performance film INNERSOUNDSTAGE on 27th September through H.O.T. Records/BMG. The film, directed by Joel Kazuo Knoernschild, was filmed at Soundstage Studios in North London. It features an 8-piece band performing Harrison’s critically acclaimed album INNERSTANDING from start to finish. The performance, which frequently breaks the fourth wall, will premiere on YouTube for 24 hours and be available on Video-on-demand services afterward.

Harrison’s band includes musicians such as Donovan Hepburn (drums), Jeff Wootton (guitar), and Josh Giroux (keyboards & vocals). The live performance also features guest appearances from Mereki Beach (vocals), Liela Moss of The Duke Spirit (vocals), and Alex White (saxophone). The film brings INNERSTANDING‘s tracks, including singles “Damn That Frequency” and “I.C.U.,” into a new sonic setting.

Tickets for the upcoming UK/EU shows, including London’s EartH Hackney on 21st October, are available here.

“I wrote INNERSTANDING during a time when touring wasn’t possible,” says Harrison. “I thought it was important to document the album live with the musicians I worked with on it. Playing it live from start to finish completes the album experience.”

The album blends traditional Tuvan music with modern production and has been widely praised for its unique sound. Uncut described it as “an inventive, otherworldly collision of East and West,” while The Sun called it “an intensely spiritual experience.”
