Cosmic Room 99 to release debut album and share new single ‘E Corp’
Italian psych band Cosmic Room 99 is set to release their self-titled debut album on 11 October through Sister 9 Recordings (UK), Little Cloud Records (US), and Shyrec (ITA). Following the release of their first single, Plastic Venus, the band has unveiled a new track titled E Corp.
Cosmic Room 99 explains that E Corp reflects on the struggles of the working class, trapped in a cycle of exploitation while those in power retain control through the withholding of essential resources. The track portrays this systemic oppression, dubbing it “Evil Corp.”

The band’s name was inspired by the documentary The Cosmic Room, which details a conspiracy involving NATO employee Bob Cohen and a secret plan to eradicate part of the world’s population for Earth’s sustainability. The number 99 in numerology represents those who use their talents to improve the world, embodying the band’s mission.
Musically, Cosmic Room 99 draws from an eclectic mix of influences, including the hypnotic rhythms of The Velvet Underground, the psychedelic tones of Syd Barrett’s Pink Floyd, the harmonies from The Beach Boys’ Pet Sounds, and the post-punk soundscapes of Joy Division and Bauhaus, with a clear punk attitude driving their approach.
The band recorded their album in their home studio in Treviso, Italy, utilising various instruments for a collaborative sound. To add warmth, they recorded vocals and analog drums at Overdrive Studio in Treviso with producer and sound engineer Edoardo “Dodi” Pellizzari. Final mastering took place at The Boiler Room in Chicago, USA, by Collin Jordan.
Cosmic Room 99 is now available for pre-order here. For updates, follow the band on their social media:
