Sulk, Black Honey + Table Scraps amongst the names for next Counteract show

We’re happy to reveal that Sulk, Black Honey and Table Scraps are amongst seven names set to play for us on Saturday August 8!
Taking place at the Hare & Hounds in Kings Heath, Sulk and Black Honey top the bill, with Table Scraps, Weirds, The Mighty Young, Mutes and Bad Girlfriend joining them.
We’re really pleased to have confirmed 90s revivalists Sulk to headline the show. London quartet Sulk channel The Stone Roses and The Charlatans and are currently at work on their second, currently-untitled album following the release of their debut LP Graceless in 2013. Listen to ‘Flowers’ below.
Fresh from supporting Superfood at the Rainbow Warehouse as well as triumphant appearances at this year’s Great Escape Festival in Brighton, female fronted grunge-pop outfit Black Honey are to make a return to Birmingham this August. You can read our review of Black Honey supporting Superfood here. Listen to the spiraling ‘Spinning Wheel’ below.
Table Scraps need no introduction. Set to release their debut record More Time For Strangers this June, the Birmingham DIY fuzz-rock duo will play another show for us this summer. Read our review of their recent Sunflower Lounge show with another band on our bill, Bad Girlfriend, here.
We are also over the moon to have confirmed “The North’s” Weirds, Brum garage rock duo The Mighty Young, the one-man-turned-full-band Mutes and the explosive Bad Girlfriend, fronted by local legend Connor Hemming.
To mark what will be our first show in over a year, a limited number of early bird tickets will be on sale priced at £5. After that, standard tickets will be priced at £7. Tickets are on sale now via theticketsellers.co.uk.
