Ahead of their festive show, The Twang release a Christmas classic, named ‘On the 24th’. Originally written in 2014, telling the tale of a young man dealing with the struggles of life, the local lads developed the narrative into a huge Christmas track, with accompanying video below.
With true festive chimes and hums sprinkled throughout the story-telling vocals, the track climbs into a huge Yuletide outpouring, complete with stunning brass melodies laid down by Walsall’s very own music legend Ash Sheehan. The local lads have really nailed it with this Christmas cracker! The single is now available from all major music download platforms.
“Twangmas” will be once more, for the ninth consecutive year, The Twang will play to their loyal masses on Saturday December 17th 2016 at Birmingham’s O2 Academy. Fans can expect a night laced with bouncy, chaotic tradition, with support coming from the rising newcomers Cabbage, a DJ set from Birmingham band Swim Deep and local favourites The Assist.
The Twang will also stop by in Leicester on the eve of their annual Christmas bash, playing at the O2 Academy. Tickets are available for both shows here. Get on it now Birmingham, it’s almost Twangmas!
