Everyone has fallen in love with 80s homage ‘Stranger Things‘ the eerie show set in 1983 Indiana follows the disappearance of a young boy and stars Winona Ryder and Matthew Modine.
In honour of the show, The Night Owl are holding two Stranger Things themed parties. The first of the two parties on Saturday 29th October sold out in record time and due to popular demand The Night Owl are hosting a ‘part 2’ on Tuesday 1st November as part of their regular student night ‘Ruby Tuesdays’, tickets are on sale for only £5 here.
At the parties you are encouraged to dress as a character or ‘thing’ from Stranger Things or come dressed as something scary from the early 80s think Stephen King, Steven Spielberg etc… With prizes offered for best overall costume or ‘Best Barb’, Barb being a popular (if unfortunate) character from the show we look forward to seeing some interesting photos.
The music will be influenced by the show itself so think 80s synths, Joy Division, The Clash etc. plus The Night Owl’s usual incredible mix of cool retro tunes. Of course, you can expect some Stranger Things décor at the venue and perhaps a few surprises.
Counteract are delighted to have been given 3 sets of 2 tickets to give away for the Tuesday night party! All you have to do is answer this simple question.. what name is the mysterious young girl 11 better known as to the boys?
Email your answers to firstname.lastname@example.org with subject ‘Counteract Comp’ to enter, deadline is midnight on Monday 31st October.
