Laura Mvula to support Jessie Ware on tour

Birmingham native Laura Mvula has announced that she will be joining Jessie Ware on her national tour.
With the release of her highly anticipated debut album, ‘Sing To The Moon’ (coming just before the start of the tour on March 4), this will be the first time that Laura has toured regionally. Alongside this, Laura has also been confirmed to play the main stage at this year’s Isle of Wight Festival on June 15.
Having graduated from the Birmingham Conservatoire with a degree in composition, the 26-year-old is a unique collision of her Caribbean background and formal music.
Laura started writing songs on her laptop while working as a supply teacher in a Birmingham secondary school. Now, with some incredible live performances and a critically acclaimed EP under her belt, 2013 looks set to be an incredible year for her.  Laura was nominated for the 2013 BRITs Critics‘ Choice award and ranked highly in fourth place for the BBC Sound of 2013.
