We’re pleased to treat you with yet another first play – this time in the form of local band Hoopla Blue.
‘Polythene Perfume’ is a previously unheard track from Hoopla Blue’s latest EP, Itch Be Still and is an intricate love song for the lonely, packed with melancholic harmonies. Listen below.
Speaking of the track, Hoopla Blue said:
“Christmas is a time of warmth, kindness, togetherness and love. Polythene Perfume is our love song dedicated to the cold, unkind, lonely and unlovable. Here’s to the scumbags, the love-rats, the broken, the beaten and the drunks. Even they need their 3 minutes under the mistletoe this year. Be kind to your turkeys. Love HB x”
Hoopla Blue play the third installment of Counteract’s Waveforms showcases at the Hare & Hounds, Kings Heath on Wednesday December 21st 2016. Attendees are encouraged to bring along any new warm clothes and packet / tinned foods as we’ll be donating them to local food banks and charities to help the homeless this Christmas. Support on the night comes from Flamingo Flame, Paper Buoys & Grim Disco.
Hoopla Blue’s Itch Be Still 12″ vinyl can also be purchased here.
