The Artois are a five-piece from our very own city of Birmingham. Their members, prior to banding together at the end of last year, have supported artists such as Dodgy, Eliza Doolittle, and McFly. They played their first show as a group in early February, and have been steadily building up a budding reputation ever since.
Taking inspiration from their peers, such as Peace and Jaws, The Artois create delicious indie-pop vibes that both enchant and entertain. With an array of covers and demos online, and with the hope of an EP release by summer, they’re proving themselves to be a band well worth getting excited about.
They released their debut single, ‘Tame Me’ (below) last month. With infectious riffs, a scorching guitar solo, and a catchy, sing-a-long chorus, The Artois are primed to take their future by storm.
